AI prompting journey has evolved

Today I want to share how my AI prompting journey has evolved — not just generating images, but directing scenes like a filmmaker.

Step 1: The Starting Prompt

“a young Asian female athlete, platinum blonde short curly hair, lunging forward on tennis court, intense pose, blurred racket, warm color tones”

Good idea. But missing direction, emotion, and camera logic.

Step 2: I added visual storytelling

• Gave her black long hair with dynamic movement

• Switched to sexy athletic fashion

• Refined pose into a full-body heroic lunge

• Added stronger expressions and tension in muscles

Prompt:

“Asian female athlete, long black hair in motion, sexy high-sport outfit, lunging with powerful intensity, fierce focus”

Step 3: Camera Setup Upgrade

I stopped thinking like a ‘prompt writer’ — and started thinking like a DP (Director of Photography).

I added:

• Low-angle gimbal tracking shots

• Shallow depth of field

• Backlighting with strong sunlight

• Motion blur for action realism

• Lens flare from eyewear and court

• Focus on sweat, fabric texture, light direction

Step 4: Cinematic Direction — “Michael Bay Mode”

I studied Bay’s shots — dramatic low angles, tension, glow, and energy.

I evolved the prompt into this:

“Asian female athlete leaping mid-air for a powerful smash, futuristic wraparound sunglasses, low-angle gimbal cam, sunlight flaring through lens, motion blur, intense energy, shallow DOF, cinematic hero moment, (Michael Bay hero shot:1.4)”

Now it feels like a fashion campaign mixed with a movie trailer.

Final Layer: Fashion Focus & Eyewear Highlight

• Gave her luxury designer sportswear

• Showcased high-end sunglasses as the style centerpiece

• Every prompt focused on motion, attitude, and glamour

What I learned:

Prompting isn’t just about keywords — it’s direction.

You have to think like a:

Fashion editor

Cinematographer

Brand stylist

Action movie director

Once you understand camera behavior, your prompts turn into stories — and the AI becomes your crew.
